Your assignment: For the next two weeks think about every place you have to go.

Then think about any way you can get there other than by driving your car.

The Clean Air Challenge and Bike Fest '99 - starting tomorrowLocal businesses will spur participation with the donation of prizes, and the Metropolitan Energy Commission will give the ``Blue Skies'' Award to the individual who reduces the greatest amount of air pollution during the challenge.

The events are co-sponsored by the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality and the Tucson Department of Transportation.

Festivities kick off with a celebration at 9 a.m. tomorrow at the new pedestrian and bicyclist crossing on North Country Club Road at East Third Street.

On Sunday, the Citizen's Bicycle Parade will start after a free continental breakfast at 10 a.m. at the Rincon Market. The parade heads from there to the Fourth Avenue Street Fair.

Other events include:

Tuesday - Magic Bus Day - Choose the magic Sun Tran bus and win a prize.

March 27 - Greater Arizona Bicycling Association Bike Swap and Fest - The largest bicycle swap meet in the state is free and open from 8 a.m. to noon at Pima Community College West Campus.

March 31 - Walk for Lunch Day - This day will also inaugurate the Downtown Walkers Club.

April 3 - Bicycle Commuting 101 - Meet at Hi Corbett Field at Reid Park at 10 a.m. with your bike and learn from the experts. The last day will also include Bike the Beat with Tucson Police Department, in which you can ride with TPD's Bike Patrol. Meet at Cafe Paraiso, 808 E. University Blvd., at 2 p.m.
